Veteran’s Day observance in Saranac Lake will be held on Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at the Harrietstown Town Hall. There will be a speaker, music and, NEW this year … there will be refreshments after the ceremony in the downstairs foyer of the town hall. (There will not be a luncheon at the Vets Club.) So plan to stay a while to eat and visit with your friends and family after the ceremony in the same place! Be sure to stop by our VFW Auxiliary table, where we will be holding a membership drive.

If you are interested in joining the VFW Auxiliary, you must be a citizen of the United States or a United States national and at least 16 years old. The eligibility requirements are as follows: husband/wife (yes, men are welcome to join us), widower/widow, father/mother, grandfathers/grandmothers, sons/daughters/grandsons/granddaughters, brothers/sisters.
