To the editor:

Last year was the first year my daughter, Mistre, could vote. Her father and I proudly accompanied her to Harrietstown Town Hall before school on Election Day. Mistre even got her picture in the Enterprise.

Unfortunately there were problems with her registration. The wrong town had been entered, and there was confusion around her first name. After the election I contacted the election commission in Malone to straighten things out. However the confusion continued, and my frustration increased. I reached out to Lindy Ellis for help. Within three days Mistre received a correct voter registration card in the mail. All is well.

Lindy took this problem on and resolved it promptly. I was too confused and a bit angry at the mess. Lucky for my daughter that Lindy was there to help.

I support Lindy Ellis for county legislature. She gets the job done.

Oh, let me add, I am not a skateboard fan. But I am a fan of supporting our kids and young people with activities. Lindy was a leader in getting the skateboard park in our downtown. There are kids there using it all the time. There are flower plantings and benches. It really is an asset. Lindy is very involved in our community at all levels.
