To the editor:

A few months ago, an Adirondack Daily Enterprise editorial described many leadership qualities. Derek Doty came to mind, living those ideals. He always has a smile and is a good listener. He can see both the trees and the forest. As a native and a small businessman, he understands the economy and has the people’s best interests at heart. When I served on a town of Harrietstown Saranac Lake Airport Committee, Doty also actively participated. Derek offered practical, win-win ideas to collaborate with Lake Placid’s airport in North Elba. He has the patience, perseverance and ethics I admire.

Therefore, I ask the voters of North Elba to elect Derek Doty as supervisor for the Town of North Elba.
