Donaldson earned trust
To the editor:
I’m writing in support of Cliff Donaldson, candidate for our county legislature.
Cliff is a good husband, a good father, a good public servant and a good man.
I’ve known Cliff since 1976. Back then, Cliff was a teacher. He moved into public service and spent 13 years as our county legislator. There he worked with his constituents to find answers and solutions to their problems with the government.
He worked at Dannemora and Adirondack correctional facilities, thus giving him firsthand knowledge of the issues and challenges facing our corrections officers.
But he also found the time to be chairman of Saranac Lake’s Troop 1 of the Boy Scouts while his son was on his way to becoming an Eagle Scout.
Presently, Cliff is a member of the New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority and is looking forward to the 2023 International University Games, which could be larger than the 1980 Olympics.
Cliff Donaldson has been a good friend to me for 40 years, and he will have my vote on Nov. 5.
