To the editor:

I am writing to support Lindy Ellis in her reelection bid to serve our community as Franklin County legislator. I have come to know Lindy over the past 15 years, first as a fellow small business owner, then as a neighbor and a friend.

Her commitment to the well-being of her local community is palpable. Well before her election to the Franklin County legislature, Lindy could be seen everywhere, supporting and promoting our youth, the arts, health and safety, education and economic development. It is very evident that she enthusiastically loves her community, and public service is a both a passion and a vocation for Lindy.

Lindy’s long career in engineering at Corning and her experience with small business in Saranac Lake have honed a combination of practical skills which she now applies to local government. In Lindy, we have a representative who listens to us, promotes our local interests up in Malone, and works tirelessly to achieve results. Lindy’s approach to problem solving is collaborative and congenial, and her voice is strong and positive.

Taxpayers in the southern end of Franklin County are well represented by Lindy Ellis, and I hope my friends and neighbors will turn out to vote for her reelection in November.
