To the editor:

On Friday, Oct. 20 students from Saranac Lake High School will host students from Tupper Lake, Lake Placid, Keene Valley, Paul Smith’s College and North Country Community College at an event to be held in Riverside Park. The rally, which is slated to begin at 12:30 p.m., is designed to urge our politicians to do more about the climate crisis. Student organizers want to share with our local politicians and the public the importance of taking immediate action.

It is the Lions Club’s goal to address the major challenges facing our planet today. It is our objective to sustainably protect and restore our environment to improve the well-being of all communities.
