To the editor:

I’m writing to support Lindy Ellis for Franklin County legislator. I’ve known her for many years now as a neighbor and as a county and village activist, and she has always amazed me with her energy, positive attitude and clarity of thought. If you are looking for someone to do the right thing, every time, she’s the one.

She has helped the village of Saranac Lake in many ways, including support for the skatepark (an amazing success!), downtown revitalization, and improvement to our parks. County-wide, she has made a real, positive impact. She’s advocated for, and secured funding for, broadband improvement, paving and culvert work, has been a member of the Franklin County Industrial Development Agency, which works to build jobs across Franklin County, and has served for eight years as a member of the Franklin County Traffic Safety Board. It’s hard to find an area that she hasn’t impacted positively.

It’s important for us to have a Franklin County legislator who recognizes the importance of the southern area of Franklin County. I would ask you to support Lindy Ellis for Franklin County legislator this fall.
