To the editor:

Music on the Green, a free weekly concert series that runs from the end of June to the end of August, is an essential entertainment option for downtown Saranac Lake. These live music events have provided people young and old from near and far with open-air bluegrass, folk, alt-rock and even New Orleans style jammin’ to be heard along Main Street and Broadway. From the concert-goers that frequent Music on the Green as their weekly post-dinner ritual, they say the best place to view and listen to these incredible performers is from a chair in Berkeley Green, where you can also chat with the series’ primary organizers, Joe and MaryLynne Dockery.

I’d like to wish a heartfelt thank you to Joe and MaryLynne for their monumental contributions to help make this a special attraction for Saranac Lake. Several other individuals and groups contributed to make this season successful. Thank you to the following individuals: Russ Feher, Elizabeth Benson, Donna Sayles, Sam Coleman, Jamie Konkoski, Jeremiah St. Louis, Kelly Brunette, Brenda Bouchard, Tim Fortune, Lidia O’Kelly and Jon O’Kelly. Thank you to the following organizations: the Downtown Advisory Board to the village of Saranac Lake, Adirondack Health, CED Twin State Saranac Lake, Cloudsplitter Foundation, Community Bank, Hotel Saranac, Hyde Fuel, North Country Community College Student Government, Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism, Say Real Estate, Stewart’s Shops, town of Harrietstown and the village of Saranac Lake Board of Trustees. Let us reflect on what a great season 2019 was and gear up for another successful round in 2020.
