Don’t tolerate racism from Trump

To the editor:

Enough is enough. President Trump’s latest and blatantly racist rant against four citizens of the United States House of Representatives is at best reprehensible and beyond what any American should tolerate from a neighbor, friend, family member, elected official and especially an individual who represents ALL THE PEOPLE as president. I call on each of us, but especially elected public officials, Republican Party activists, political donors and people of integrity to say, “Enough. Have you no shame? I can not in good faith support you, your presidency or those who enable you.”

Racism, and the marginalization of anyone, as well as misogynist, homophobic and xenophobic behaviors, are NEVER acceptable. Please let Mr. Trump know that you will no longer in any way support him. If you agree with his policies whether they are local, domestic, foreign or economic, find someone else to represent you. Admittedly, I disagree with many if not all of his policies. However, I cannot discuss, debate and examine with you what you believe and advocate for if it is wrapped in racist and intolerant behavior and rhetoric.

Please take a stand and say, “NO MORE. YOU MAY NO LONGER REPRESENT ME OR HAVE MY SUPPORT IN ANY WAY.”

We can agree to disagree and have different solutions to problems, but we cannot do it at the expense of human and American values.
