To the editor:

Is anyone out there tired?

Tired of constant drama?

Tired of worrying about the future?

Tired of feeling powerless?

Tired of seemingly insurmountable problems and divisions?

Tired of battle as our go-to method of resolving conflict?

Tired of thinking our fellow humans are either idiots or else out to destroy us?

What if instead we acted on the belief that:

¯ All our fellow humans need compassion in one way or another.

¯ We all have the same basic human needs.

¯ Each person has something unique to offer and has value.

¯ We are all in this together.

The solutions to our challenges require us to open up, not shut down, and individually and together we can decide to create something different.
