Thank you for compassion after son’s death
To the editor:
Thank you for the outpouring of love and compassion, the calls, the sympathy cards, the emails and the Mass cards from our friends and neighbors for the passing of our son Brian James Bristol. We truly appreciate your support at this time of such grief, and this will certainly help with our healing process. His sudden death was caused by his vehicle being hit by a drunk driver. Driving drunk has many implications, the extreme of which is killing someone, and the impact it has on the families of those left behind. This is a gentle reminder to not drink and drive, as one can never predict the outcome.
Our son enjoyed his time in the Tri-Lakes region and the many people he met while visiting here. Brian shared his love of the Adirondacks with his children, and he took them fishing as often as he could as that was one of his favorite pastimes. He also spent hours with them swimming, hiking and biking, and looked forward to their visiting here this summer.
Brian will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
