To the editor:

The Canaras yearbook staff recently hosted a knockerball tournament at Saranac Lake High School in the gymnasium. This tournament was a fundraiser to benefit the 2019 Canaras yearbook, which is primarily self-funded. Over 150 high school students turned out for the event, which was run by Good Guy Productions. Many thanks to Eric and Cory for all of their hard work!

The Canaras yearbook staff would also like to thank the following businesses for supporting the event with their generous donations of food and prizes: Hannaford, Hyde Mobil, Kinney Drugs of Saranac Lake, Owl’s Nest Pizza, Pizza Hut and Price Chopper. We greatly appreciate your willingness to support our event.

Each year, the Canaras yearbook staff devotes its time daily to carefully and diligently conceptualizing, planning, designing and creating the yearbook. The tradition of the Canaras dates back 92 years; we respect its traditions and strive to preserve its legacy. We believe that the Canaras is a reflection of the Saranac Lake community and its dedication to our students and their achievements.

If you would like to see a copy of the Canaras, a complete collection is housed at the Saranac Lake Free Library. The 2019 Canaras will be distributed this June.
