Winter Carnival Court thanks
To the editor:
On Jan. 7, the Winter Carnival Court held its annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser at the Belvedere Restaurant. Profits from this dinner are used to purchase the outfits and other necessities for the court. We are pleased to report that this year’s dinner was a resounding success! We certainly couldn’t have done it without the help of a number of volunteers. We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge their efforts on our behalf.
First and foremost, we would like to thank Jerry Cavallo. His generosity with his time, facility and outstanding staff is so very much appreciated. The staff was so helpful and patient with those of us who were amateurs at preparing meals, washing dishes and waiting tables. Our choreographer, Janine Meads, was also on hand to help us out, and Mary Reardon won the 50/50 raffle and generously donated a portion back to the court! Finally, we would like to express our deep and heartfelt thanks to the community who, no matter how hard the times or unpleasant the weather, always seems to find it in their hearts to come out and support us. We are thankful we live in such a caring community and we are honored to represent this community as part of the 2019 Winter Carnival Court.
Once again, thank you to everyone who has been so generous in their support of us. We look forward to seeing you at all of the “Prehistoric Park” Winter Carnival events!
Sincerely,
Maggie Carpenter and Quin Peer, 2019 Winter Carnival Court spokespeople, and the rest of the 2019 Winter Carnival Court:
