To the editor:

The annual Christmas Food Box Committee and the Saranac Lake Ecumenical Council extend heartfelt thanks to all who contributed financial and food donations for needy families in the Saranac Lake Central School District. Eighty-seven boxes were filled with non-perishable goods for a Christmas dinner and meals during the holiday school break. In addition, a turkey, ham, potatoes and dairy products were available at distribution time.

Also, many thank-yous go to Stewart’s Shops, the Community Store (Village Mercantile), Price Chopper, Madden’s Transfer and Storage, Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, the Murnane family, local churches, St. Joseph’s veterans program, Tucker Farms, Aldi and Holiday Helpers for their donations and assistance.

We are grateful to our generous community.
