I would like to thank Congresswoman Elise Stefanik for fighting in Congress on behalf of the North Country economy. Elise is consistently fighting overbearing government regulations that are a major hindrance to expansion, profitability and employee growth. Her push to delay the Cadillac tax lessened the burden of Obamacare and allows us to offer a great insurance plan to our team. Her votes to reduce production regulations on small businesses sparked our desire to grow and create more jobs in upstate New York. We plan to open three new restaurants this year.

Growing up in her family’s small business, Elise learned, lived and understands the challenges faced by local businesses. Hard work and perseverance are critical for business owners like us, and they are essential for a representative in Congress. Small businesses provide critical jobs in today’s challenging economy, and Elise has worked in Congress to ensure that their needs are represented.

As a local, Elise also understands the critical role that our relationship with Canada plays in the North Country economy. Canadian visitors are vital and welcome in our restaurants. Elise paved the way for the expansion of pre-clearance facilities to boost commerce and improve border security between the United States and Canada. Living right next to the border, Canadian tourism is an essential for our region.

As a business owner myself, I know that we need a strong next generation of students to fill our workforce. Elise supports career and technical training, which is essential to continuing and growing our regional economic prosperity. She relentlessly promotes growth and opportunity in our region.

Elise is committed to the North Country, and that’s why the North Country is committed to her. Please vote in November to re-elect our advocate in Washington.
