Why vote for Ratigan?
To the editor:
Mr. Ratigan’s candidacy for the Democratic nomination for the 21st Congressional District has brought surprising baggage to this contest. The incumbent Republican, Congresswoman Stefanik, has supported the president’s call and voted to rescind the Affordable Care Act, with no substitute legislation, leaving health coverage for the millions of previously uninsured with no recourse.
Ratigan once said Trump would have gotten his vote, had he voted for president.
Why would a Democratic primary voter consider voting for him? If a voter wants to support the president, Stefanik is the candidate.
