Planned Parenthood lies

To the editor:

I read the full-page article about Planned Parenthood’s sex trivia fundraiser at Lisa G’s with tears in my eyes. (Lake Placid News “On the Scene” column, Feb. 3) How sad it is that this organization is so dishonest and that the reporter, Naj Wikoff is so misinformed. Planned Parenthood does not provide any services that cannot be had at more than 13,500 federally funded health care centers (compared to 665 Planned Parenthoods). Health care centers care for you, even if you have no health insurance — you pay what you can afford based on your income. Health centers provide services that include checkups when you are well, treatment when you are sick, complete care when you are pregnant and immunizations and checkups for your children. Some health centers also provide mental health, substance abuse, oral health, vision services (https://findahealthcenter.hrsa.gov).

And health care centers DON’T KILL BABIES. Planned Parenthood is an abortion-first organization. Space does not allow me to refute the 3 percent lie in your article, but an internet search can explain, or visit www.liveaction.org. Planned Parenthood sells aborted baby parts, enables child sex abuse by covering up the rape of underaged girls and encourages young teens to have sex. Many parents are angry about PP’s sex education programs in schools — calling it perverted and harmful to children.

“Starting in kindergarten, funded with our tax dollars, PP uses graphic cartoons to saturate children with sexual imagery that encourages them to focus on sexuality, engage in sex and accept dangerous aberrant sexual acts as perfectly normal,” said American Life League founder Judie Brown. “Parents’ tax dollars are being used to turn their own children into Planned Parenthood’s future sex customers.”

The article was correct in stating that Margaret Sanger founded PP, American’s largest abortion business. But while the article praised her, it did not share that Sanger sought to rid society of those whom did not fit her criteria. Sanger liked Nazi Germany’s eugenic and racist policies, promoted segregation and believed children were a burden. Sanger lobbied government to control the size of American families through birth control, sterilization and birthing licenses. Sanger started “The Negro Project” to reduce the African-American population. Today, a black baby is five times more likely to be killed in the womb than a white baby. Seventy-eight percent of PP clinics are located in minority neighborhoods. The film “Maafa 21” documents the disturbing mindset linking eugenics, Planned Parenthood and black genocide. Sanger had close ties with the American Eugenics Society and even wanted to merge the two organizations.

PP has been caught in many lies. They are not to be trusted. PP is now removing “prenatal care” from its websites after an investigation exposed that they don’t help women who want to keep their babies. This move further proves the corporation’s abortion-first agenda.

But the biggest lie they tell women is that abortion is an easy fix. For the past 10 years, I have been organizing after-abortion healing retreats and have heard the stories from women and men who suffer after abortion loss — often at the hands of Planned Parenthood. What I have heard is haunting — things that no one should have to endure and live with. Some hide their pain for years before attending a Rachel’s Vineyard retreat (www.rachelsvineyard.org); others speak out publicly about their pain through Silent No More Awareness Campaign (www.silentnomoreawareness.org).

Get the facts. Don’t believe the lies. Defund Planned Parenthood.
