Garcia has integrity

To the editor:

It has been over 10 years since I first met Julie Garcia. Of those 10, I worked for Julie a total of six years, first in her role as Essex County district attorney. Thereafter, I worked for Julie as she went back into private practice in Westport and Port Henry.

I first learned how passionate Julie is about the law while working as her confidential secretary in the district attorney’s office. I saw firsthand how diligent she was in pursuing justice for various victims. While working with Julie in her private practice, I saw the same diligence and passion. Whether Julie is prosecuting or defending an individual, she strives for the most appropriate outcome as possible.

As a defense attorney, Julie not only appears in county court but in various local town justice courts as well. In addition to Essex County, she has appeared in Clinton, Franklin, Warren, Washington and Saratoga counties (to name a few), all of which are within the state Supreme Court Fourth Judicial District.

Regardless of Julie’s role, whether it be as a prosecutor or a defense attorney, she handles all cases with the utmost integrity. Julie is a person with great work ethics, one who shows fairness, is honest and is non-judgmental. These are just a few of her attributes that, in my eyes, will make her a great state Supreme Court justice!
