The AuSable Forks High School Alumni Banquet will be held on Saturday, Aug. 8 at the American Legion in AuSable Forks. “Dutch treat” cocktails begin at 5 p.m., followed by a sit-down dinner at 6 p.m. Choices are turkey at $19 per person or prime rib at $24 per person, with salad, veggie, tater, rolls, dessert and tip included.

The banquet is open to all who ever attended ASFHS. Invitations have been mailed to all for whom the committee has valid addresses. Anyone who has not received a letter and would like to attend should contact Pat Douglas, P.O. Box 999, AuSable Forks, NY 12912; 5186478106; nanapat6@charter.net. Reservations will be accepted until July 20. If you are unable to attend but would like to donate to either the Leola Taylor Peacock or Deceased Alumni scholarship funds, contributions in any amount, payable to the “ASFHS Alumni Fund,” will be welcomed. These funds support a scholarship and the College Assistance Program for AVCS graduates. The CAP helps students earn college credits while completing high school.

Additional scholarship/CAP funds are raised through raffle tickets. Prizes are donated by local businesses and individuals. Businesses in AuSable Forks, Jay, Keeseville, Wilmington and points in between, as well as individuals, provided prizes last year. It is important that we support out local businesses! They do so much to make our fundraisers successful, and it saves time and gas to shop local.
