This postcard was mailed 98 years ago this week. It was mailed by a patient at Trudeau Sanatorium in 1927, who said, in part, “Quite snappy and cold up here but makes one feel good. Am gaining in weight. Will be some pig when I come back. My hands are cold.” The Historic Saranac Lake Collection is full of postcards like this, which give a very intimate look into what life was like for patients in the area.
