The days are getting shorter, and the moon has been bright overhead, which reminded us of the moonlight postcards in our collection. This one shows the moon shining bright over patients in tents at the New York State Hospital for Incipient Tuberculosis, AKA Ray Brook Sanatorium. Interestingly, we also have postcards showing this exact same image during the daytime. We suspect the moon was a little creative license!
