This recently donated postcard shows the boat houses at the Saranac Club. The Saranac Club was made up a group of New York City patrons of Bartlett’s on the carry between Middle and Upper Saranac Lake. After Virgil Bartlett died in 1889, the property ownership transferred to a group of men who organized the club. The club rules included guide or light boat rentals for just 25 cents!
