Image of the Week, from Historic Saranac Lake

This week Historic Saranac Lake published our 3,500th public record in our online catalog! We have now cataloged more than 3,500 individual objects, photographs, postcards, letters, maps and more. All of these records are available for members of the public to browse online; a large quantity of the items have been digitized as well. To celebrate this milestone, we’re sharing one of the most recently cataloged images in the collection. This photograph postcard shows the interior of Camp Carmigeo on Oseetah. If you want to learn more about your neighborhood, see ice palaces of Winter Carnivals past, or just look at some really great historic photographs, head to our website to start hunting: https://hub.catalogit.app/12392. And don’t forget — this huge milestone represents only a fraction of the items in our collection overall, so if you can’t find what you’re looking for, get in touch.
