5W Wednesdays

Historic Saranac Lake needs your help identifying the WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, and/or WHY of this photo. In honor of World TB Day on March 24, here is a group of unidentified scientists and doctors at the Saranac Laboratory. These folks may have been participants in the Trudeau School of Tuberculosis, but we don’t know any of their names. The Trudeau School was started by Dr. Edward R. Baldwin in honor of Dr. Edward Livingston Trudeau in 1916. The school provided training opportunities for those working in the tuberculosis field to learn the latest treatment methods for the disease. Do you recognize any of the people in this photograph? Let us know by calling the museum at 518-891-4606 or emailing mail@historicsaranaclake.org. (Provided photo — Historic Saranac Lake Collection, 2009.8.2. Gift in Memory of John Schmidt)
