Happy Halloween week! This photograph shows patients at the New York State Hospital at Ray Brook dressed up for Halloween sometime in the 1940s. This photograph was found in an album kept by patient Teresa Dare. A 1944 newspaper clipping described Halloween parties at Ray Brook that included singing, skits, dancing, and a masquerade contest.
