These passengers are awaiting a ride on a boat at the Thomas Boat Lines dock on June 20, 1921. Thomas Boat Lines operated on Lake Flower from 1901 to 1962. These public boat tours usually operated up the Saranac River, through the locks to Lower Saranac, and back again. In 1921, the fare for a 40 mile trip was $2.20 ($34.30 today), and a 26 mile trip was $1.10. Do you remember the Thomas Boat Launch? (Photo provided — Historic Saranac Lake Collection, 2020.4.1.47.
