This postcard shows a view of Union Depot in the early 1900s that looks pretty similar to today, but the message on the back is what caught our eyes! It reads, in part, “I have met Dr. Trudeau himself. He is a perfectly charming old man and the work he does ... here is marvellous.” This postcard is one small piece of a major collection documenting tuberculosis history that was donated to Historic Saranac Lake this week.
