Mabel LaBrake

She was born May 10, 1931, the daughter of William and Ethel (Skiff) Johnson in Bloomingdale. She graduated from Saranac Lake High School in 1949. She married Leon A. LaBrake on Oct. 11, 1951, at St. Paul’s Church in Bloomingdale.

Leon predeceased her in June of 1995, as well as her infant daughter, Karen, in 1953. She is survived by her son James LaBrake and his wife Nancy; brother Russell and Annette Johnson; sister Phyllis King; as well as grandsons Brandon and Nolan LaBrake. She was predeceased by brothers Harold Paye, Francis and Charles Johnson.
