Frances W. King

She was born on April 7, 1938, daughter of Ralph and Annie May (Hawkins) Wardell.

Frances married Thomas King on July 12, 1969 in Saranac Lake and they shared over 55 years of love and memories together.

She retired from Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora where she worked as an industrial

trainer.

Frances grew up in Wales and loved to travel back to London to see family and friends. She also enjoyed fashion, sewing, doing puzzles and reading books.

Frances had a passion for rescuing several dogs over the years and loved each and every one of her pets.

Survivors include her loving husband, Thomas King; sons Michael (Julie) King and Gregory (Amie) King; brother James Wardell; grandchildren Elizabeth King, Courtney King, Sophie King, Lila King, and Gordon King; and five nieces and nephews.

Frances was predeceased by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and James Stover, and her beloved aunt, Maude Safford.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Elmore SPCA.
