David L. Walker

David L. Walker, age 77, died Monday, June 9, 2025, at Tupper Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Phoenix, Arizona on Dec. 23, 1947, he was the son of Wendell Walker and Paula (Pacheco) Walker.

David joined the United States Air Force after graduating from high school. He served for over 20 years at many bases throughout the states as well as Korea. He retired in 1986 while stationed at Luke Air Force Base in his beloved state of Arizona with the Rank of Master Sergeant.

In 1980, while stationed in Homestead, Florida he met the love of his life, Judy. They were married on Sept. 9, 1980 and were together until her death in 2014. Dave enjoyed events and celebrations with family and friends, playing pool and watching and attending sporting events.

Dave was predeceased by his father, mother and wife Judy.

He is survived by three sisters, Patty Elvins of Seattle, Washington, Mona McIntosh of Phoenix, Arizona and Betty Anspach of Phoenix; one brother, Andy Walker of San Antonio, Texas; several nieces and nephews; two sons, David Walker of Saranac Lake and Matthew Walker of Saranac Lake; and three granddaughters, three great-granddaughters and one great-grandson.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A graveside service with military honors is set to take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17 at Pine Ridge Cemetery, with Bruce McCulley officiating.
