Gary Ward
Gary Ward, 76, of Fine, New York, was born on Dec. 18, 1947, the son of Helen Moote and Duthan “Dutch” Ward in Gouverneur. He took his last breath on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024 at Elderwood of Uihlein at Lake Placid in Lake Placid.
Gary was a combat engineer in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was also stationed in Korea.
He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, Jim and Dick, and a sister, Sandy, as well as his sister-in-law Barb.
Per his wishes, there will not be a funeral or calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
