Sherman Marshall ‘Terry’ Robards
Services for Sherman Marshall “Terry” Robards, 84, of Upper Jay, will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. today at the Heidrick-Zaumetzer Funeral Home, 3 College St., AuSable Forks. There will be a visitation and celebration of life.
Robards, author of “The New York Times Book of Wine,” journalist, editor, wine critic and radio show host, died peacefully at home on May 23, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born on Oct. 7, 1939, in New York City, and in 1988, he moved full time to the Adirondack Mountains, opening Terry Robards Wines and Spirits in Lake Placid.
