Jean M. Martin
Jean “Jeannie” M. Martin, 69, passed away peacefully after a long, debilitating illness on May 10, 2024.
Born on March 18, 1955, in Saranac Lake, she was the daughter of Fred and Loretta Martin.
Jean graduated in 1973 from Saranac Lake High School and attended SUNY New Paltz and Empire State Colleges. Jeannie worked for various New York state agencies as a mental health counselor. She had lived in and traveled to various states and was a talented lifelong artist. Her artwork has appeared in many shows and is cherished by the many people who have received her pieces.
Jean is predeceased by her parents, Fred and Loretta Martin.
She is survived by all six of her siblings, Bill, Paul (Pota), Phil, Gordon (Dena), Tina, (their beloved dog Lily), Dan (Michelle) Martin and Gloria Daniels. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Bill, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Matthew, Meghan, Jillian, Kendra, Madilyn, Gwyneth, Natalie, Reese, Henrik, and Dennis.
