Dorothy H. Lorette

Born in Mont Vernon, New Hampshire on Aug. 17,1938, she was the daughter of Mortan and Estella (Martin) Muncil. Dorothy married James “Jim” Lorette on Monday, Aug. 22, 1959 in Greenville, New Hampshire.

Dorothy and James moved to Saranac Lake in 1979 coming from Temple, New Hampshire. Dorothy had worked for St. Joseph’s Rehabilitation Center as a secretary for many years up until her retirement. She was a long-time member of the loyal order of the Moose Chapter 457. Dorothy loved working in her flower beds, reading, drawing and other crafting. She also loved dancing with her husband James.

Dorothy is survived by her two sons: James Lorette of Port Orchard, Washington, and Steve (Debbie Donaldson) Lorette of Saranac Lake; her daughter Michelle Fenton of Saranac Lake, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy is also survived by one sister Joanne LeClair of New Hampshire and one brother Mortan Muncil of New Hampshire.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband James “Jim” Lorette, one son Randy Lorette and her son-in-law Scott Fenton; as well as two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Saranac Lake, NY 12983. At Dorothy’s request, there will be no calling hours. All funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. A celebration of life will take place at a later date and location to be announced.
