Reprinted by permission from a very good friend to Ann: “Ann was a friend and a source of laughter and joy. Her sharp wit, her sarcastic humor, and her unwavering loyalty made her a force to be reckoned with. She was not just smart, she was brilliant. Her intelligence was unmatched and her thirst for knowledge insatiable. She was a voracious reader, and her love for reading contagious. She had a quick mind and a sharp tongue and she never hesitated to use it and speak her truth and stand up for what she believed. What truly set her apart was her wit. She could make any moment into something special with her clever remarks and humorous observations. Her sarcasm was a weapon, one she wielded with precision and grace.

“Beyond her intelligence and humor, she was a fierce ally to many. She had an understanding of the struggles and injustices faced by marginalized communities, and she used her Facebook and voice to raise awareness. She had a fiery spirit and steadfast loyalty that knew no bounds. She would go to great lengths to protect her friends and loved ones, never backing down from a challenge or a fight. She was a true defender always ready to stand up for what was right and protect those who needed it most.”

May we all carry a piece of Ann with us through these trying times.

Per Ann’s wishes there will be no service and her ashes will be scattered at Fenway Park, home to her beloved Boston Red Sox.
