Brandon J. Dupree

Born in Saranac Lake on June 18, 1988, the son of Thomas and Wendy (Strack) Dupree, Brandon attended and graduated from Saranac Lake High School. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving from 2009 to 2011. He was currently employed as a mechanic at the Wayne Darrah Auto Body Shop in Saranac Lake. He had also previously worked as a mechanic at Twin “D” Automotive, Inc. Brandon was a member of the Saranac Lake Fish and Game Club. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed camping, golfing and especially loved family time.

Brandon is survived by his daughter Charlee Dupree of Saranac Lake, her mother Carrie Gallo-Wright of Berwick, Pennsylvania, his mother and father Thomas and Wendy Dupree of Saranac Lake, and several aunts and uncles, including Peter Dupree of Saranac Lake, Amy Hagar and her husband Tom of Saranac Lake, William “Bill” Dupree of Saranac Lake, Charles and his wife Sheila Strack of Star Lake, Sherry Kennedy of Tupper Lake, Tanya Kennedy and her husband Lawrence of St. Regis Falls, Cassandra Tanner of Saranac Lake and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Robert and Patricia Dupree, maternal grandparents Sandra Tanner and Kenneth J. McLaughlin, one aunt, Barbara Kristoffersen, and two uncles, Paul “Bummer” Dupree and Michael Dupree.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home at 7 p.m. with Rev. Martin Cline officiating.
