Agnes E. (Liz) Latour

Liz was the third child of Tuffield and Elizabeth (Kennedy) Latour, born March 16,1948 in Saranac Lake. She attended St. Bernard’s School and graduated from Pius X High School in 1967. She also attended Mt. Aloysius Junior College in Cresson, Pennsylvania.

Liz was a lifelong resident of Saranac Lake and had recently become a resident at Elderwood of Uihlein in Lake Placid.

She was involved in retail sales for all of her working life. She worked in the family store, Kennedy’s; she was also employed by Wilson’s Clothing and Apparel and Aubuchon stores and as a caregiver for Franklin County ARC.

Various health issues ended her active life, but she volunteered at St. Bernard’s Church and at the Harrietstown Housing Authority residence on Kiwassa Road.

She is survived by two sisters, Ann Fina of Saranac Lake and Sr. Brian Marie Latour of Plattsburgh; in addition, she is survived by nine nephews and their families, as well as by grand-nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, aunts and uncles and her brother, Patrick and sister-in-law Nancy Latour and her brother-in-law Donald K. Fina.

A funeral will be held on Saturday, March 2 at 11 a.m. in St. Bernard’s Church, Saranac Lake. Family will be receiving mourners from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral at the church. Donations in her memory can be made to the Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department or Holiday Helpers, in care of Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, Saranac Lake.
