Clarence Peck

Born on July 30, 1955 in Keene Valley, Clarence was a remarkable man who touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He exemplified hard work, integrity, compassion and kindness in every aspect of his life. As a devoted husband, loving father, and loyal friend, he consistently demonstrated his unwavering love and support for all who he loved, friends, family and strangers alike, always putting the needs of others before his own.

Clarence was a true family man, relishing in every moment spent with his people, even when it was just sitting around telling his favorite stories. He possessed an infectious sense of humor and a zest for life, making every gathering a memorable occasion filled with laughter and cherished memories. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Jenifer L. Peck (Varden). He is also survived by four sons, Matthew Hathaway (Angie) of Lake Placid, Jordan Varden (Sylvia) of Chateaugay, Joe Peck of Brookline, New Hampshire, and Jessie Peck of Tupper Lake. He is also survived by his loving daughter, Camille O’Malley of Tucson, Arizona, as well as 10 grandchildren and even some great grandchildren.

Professionally, Clarence was a respected business owner who for 36 years would labor alongside and employ many friends and of course he particularly enjoyed sharing that wisdom and passion with all of his sons. Dedicating himself to his craft with unwavering commitment and expertise, Clarence’s excellence and his relentless drive, always wanting to learn something every day. Clarence inspired all those who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Above all, Clarence’s love for his family was unparalleled. He leaves behind cherished memories that will forever be engraved in our hearts. His unending love, guidance, and innumerable amounts of support. He will continue to guide us through life’s journey, even in his absence.

In this time of sorrow, we find solace in the memories we shared with Clarence. While the pain of his loss is immeasurable, we take comfort in the knowledge that he no-longer journeys in trepidation and pain. His legacy will endure through the lives he touched and the values he instilled in us.

We invite family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Clarence to join us in a celebration of his remarkable life on Friday, Dec. 1, at Frary Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. We will gather to reminisce, share stories and love for his life. Calling hours will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday. Immediately following the calling hours, a brief memorial service will begin at 5 p.m.
