Elizabeth Blankman Wadsworth
Elizabeth Blankman Wadsworth was born March 28, 1938 and died July 10, 2022.
She leaves behind brother Edward Blankman, daughter Barbara Wadsworth, son Peter Wadsworth (Anita), grandsons Benjamin and Zachary Carroll and Ethan Wadsworth, and granddaughter Krisha Wadsworth.
She was an elementary school librarian, avid knitter and Adirondack 46’er. Elizabeth was an active volunteer librarian and gardener in her retirement in Lake Placid.
A longtime member of St. Eustace Episcopal, she created the church’s archives and led the book group for years. She found comfort and strength in her faith, especially after her beloved husband and childhood sweetheart Bruce passed away. Although she lived for more than 10 years with gradually worsening dementia, a combination of spiritual peace, natural good humor and acceptance never left her.
A celebration of life for Elizabeth will be held Sunday, Sept. 25 at St. Eustace Episcopal Church, 2450 Main St., Lake Placid, NY at 2 p.m. All are welcome.
