John James Taylor

John James “Jack” Taylor, age 82, of Lake Clear, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Jack was born in Dickenson Center on June 23, 1939, the son of Cosmo and Berth (Palmer) Taylor. He married the former Lori Francisco on July 10, 1995 in Lake Clear.

Jack was a lifelong resident of the Tri-Lakes area, and worked for Paul Smith’s College in the maintenance department for many years. Prior to Paul Smith’s College, he worked operating heavy equipment.

Jack is survived by his wife, Lori Taylor of Lake Clear; two sons, John J. Taylor, Jr. (Roselyn) of Moira and Brian (Kari) Taylor of Tupper Lake; two daughters, Cathy Ryan and Macie Mae Taylor, both of Saranac Lake, and two sisters, Mary Lou Wilder of Cornwall-on-Hudson and Joann Deno of Brushton. Jack is also survived by 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by his father and mother, and two brothers-in law: Floyd “Chummy” Deno and Robert H. Wilder.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home. At Jack’s request, there will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family with burial in the spring at Saratoga National Cemetery with military honors.
