Michael F. Neale

Michael was born to Donald and Monika Neale in Mannheim, Germany on Oct. 29, 1961 and moved to Ray Brook on May 24,1962.

Mike was a lifelong resident of the Tri-Lakes. He has enjoyed the last seven years working with his son, James, at Adirondack Correctional Facility in Ray Brook, recently meeting his 25 year milestone with the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision. Family, friends, snowmobiling, four-wheeling and going to his son’s camp were his favorite things in life. Mike’s quick wit and wonderful sense of humor will be missed by many.

Mike is survived by his wife of 36 years, Susan, his son James (Kristina), parents Donald and Monika and sister Eileen Haddox. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Dr. Christine Fox (Stephen) and Laura Carne. Uncles Peter and Wolfgang Friedrich, Lee (Pat) and Peter (Ann) Sneden, several cousins, nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews, his best friends Robert (Michele) Byno, Paul Byno and Ralph Isabella.

Mike was predeceased by Susan’s parents, his fishing buddy J. William (Evelyn) Sneden.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Saranac Lake. Calling hours for Mike will be held on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. and again from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. All COVID-19 restrictions will be in place. Masks are strongly encouraged and required for unvaccinated individuals.
