Barry Scott Morgan McDonough

Barry Scott Morgan McDonough, age 50, formerly of Saranac Lake and most recently of Corinth died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021.

Born in Saranac Lake Jan. 9, 1971, he was the son of James Harold and Jean (Lavarnway) Morgan.

Barry grew up in Rotterdam and graduated from Mohonasen High School. Barry had been employed as an electrician for many years until he was unable to work for health reasons. He was an avid cook and pastry Chef in the Saratoga area. He was also a very talented artist and loved drawing. Barry was very generous, caring and a loving person who always was willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his mother Jean Morgan McDonough of Saranac Lake, two brothers Robert and his wife Loretta of Ft. Pierce, Florida, and William and his wife Marisa of Daunesburg. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many cousins.

As you leave this earth and pass into God’s heavenly kingdom, know that we love and miss you dearly.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday Jan. 27, 2021 at St. Bernard’s Church in Saranac Lake with Rev. Martin Cline officiating and Rev. Patrick Ratigan concelebrating. Burial will take place in St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Saranac Lake in the spring.

Family and friends attending in person funeral services are asked to please follow all COVID-19 recommendations including social distancing and wearing a mask. Due to extenuating circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic Barry’s family understands that it may make it difficult to attend calling hours and funeral services in person. For those unable to attend the funeral service will also be webcast on Fortune-Keough Funeral Homes Facebook page.
