Carolyn Ann Miller

Carolyn Ann Miller, age 86, of Saranac Lake, died Monday, Dec. 21, 2020 at Elderwood of Uihlein at Lake Placid.

Born in Saranac Lake, on Dec. 4, 1934, she was the daughter of Harry and Edna Pearl (McGee) Miller.

Carolyn attended and graduated from St. Bernard’s School and Saranac Lake High School. She was employed as a New York Telephone operator for many years in Glens Falls and Saranac Lake until her retirement. Carolyn was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court St. Bernard and a parishioner at St. Bernard’s Church.

She is survived by her niece Pamela Davis and sister-in-law Dorothy Davis of Ellensburg, Washington, several cousins including Ronald Allen of Peru, Jane Harrington of Albany, Paul McGee of Peru, Eunice Staples of Springfield, Missouri, and Cory Zimmerman of Baldwinsville and many close friends, including Virginia Shelhamer of Saranac Lake, Dorothy Metz of Saranac Lake and Colleen and James Akey of Peru. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Carlton and Milton Miller.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday Dec. 29, 2020 at St. Bernard’s Church Chapel with Fr. Patrick A. Ratigan officiating. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Saranac Lake. Family and friends attending in person services are asked to please follow all COVID-19 recommendations including social distancing and wearing a mask. Due to extenuating circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic the Miller family understands that it may make it difficult to attend.
