Wayne Karl Scheller

Wayne Scheller

Lake Placid resident Wayne Karl Scheller, 44, left this earth on May 29, 2020, to be with his Lord, and is reunited with his parents and others he loved in heaven.

Born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada on Dec. 22, 1975, Wayne was raised in the Olympic village of Lake Placid. He lived a life of laughter and love and was a free soul who in his younger years loved to travel and meet people along the way. He lived a simple, humble life, and his warm smile, sense of humor, and kind words drew people to him. Throughout his lifetime, Wayne’s passion was to know the one true God and to make His love known, as well as to spend time with his family, friends and the children in his life.

Wayne is the son of predeceased Rudi and Arlene Scheller and grandson of predeceased Margaret and Arnold McAdorey and Karl and Christine Scheller (Christine surviving). He leaves behind a twin sister, Lisa (David) Conlan and three brothers, Matthew, Patrick, and Nicholas (Jesse Elia) Scheller. His two nieces, Kasey and Wynne Conlan, and one nephew, Mavrix Scheller, brought him joy, happiness and an excuse to bring a bag of gummy worms on each visit. He also had many loving aunts, uncles and cousins throughout the US and Canada.

Due to NYS COVID-19 restrictions, the family is planning a cremation through M.B. Clark Inc., and an intimate ceremony to spread his ashes. To honor Wayne’s memory, a celebration of life will be planned for late summer. Date and further details will be posted on the Facebook memorial page set up in his honor, In Memoriam: Wayne Scheller (https://www.facebook.com/groups/3121950391181744/?ref=group_header).

The M.B. Clark, Inc., Funeral Home in Lake Placid is in charge of arrangements. Please visit www.mbclarkfuneralhome.com to share a memory, upload a photograph or leave online condolences for the Scheller family.

Any cards may be sent to the family Patrick Scheller at P.O. Box 1007, Lake Placid, NY 12946. In lieu of flowers or other gifts, please consider a donation to Wounded Warrior Project in Wayne’s honor.
