Christine E. Haig
Christine E. Haig, 59, of Saranac Lake, died Monday, March 2, 2020, at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.
Born in Saranac Lake on Sept. 27, 1960, she was the daughter of F. Kimball and Betty (Bell) Haig.
Chris worked for the New York State Department of Corrections as an industrial training supervisor at the Clinton Correctional Facility until her retirement in 2015. She especially loved to travel.
She is survived by one brother, Kim Haig of Saranac Lake; two sisters: Betsy (Wayne) Sylvester of Newport, Vermont, and Patti (Mike) Ploof of Saranac Lake; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A graveside service will take place at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in Pine Ridge Cemetery in Saranac Lake in May.
