Rose Marie A. (Clark) Prue

Rose Marie Ann Clark Prue died on Aug. 3, 2018.

Rosie was born on Jan. 3, 1944, in Saranac Lake to Nora Minney Clark and Donald Clark. She was married to Louie Prue in May 1966 and is predeceased by her parents, her brother William Clark, her husband and all her aunts and uncles. She attended Saranac Lake schools.

Kim Prue Webb and Willie Prue are her two children, and they live in Phoenix, Arizona, along with six grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way.

Rosie is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Lee Clark Jaquis and Bonnie Ohmann, both of Lake Clear; two nieces, Caron Jaquis Powers of Saranac Lake and Deborah Jaquis Dragoon of Altona; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and very close friends throughout the country.

Rosie and Louie lived in Saranac Lake until 1972, when they moved to Phoenix, Arizona, along with her parents. Rosie worked at Wendy’s restaurant for nearly 25 years. After Louie died in 1986, Rosie made many visits back to New York to visit family and friends, where she enjoyed the cooler weather and visiting with her cousins and sisters.

A private graveside ceremony will be held for friends and family at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Bloomingdale, immediately followed by a luncheon reception at the Moose Club in Saranac Lake. All those wishing to remember Rosie, please wear purple that day and think of her in her very favorite color.
