Peter A. Lodewick Jr

Peter A. Lodewick Jr., 46, of Tupper Lake, passed unexpectedly on April 11, 2015.

He was born at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C., and lived in Massachusetts, New Jersey and Alabama prior to moving to the Adirondack Mountains, where he resided for more than 10 years. Peter graduated from Moorestown High School in New Jersey and went on to attend Monmouth University on a tennis scholarship. He later studied at the University of Alabama, where he was on the Dean’s List.

Peter worked for R&C Becker Construction, where he was particularly noted for his artistry with tile and stone. Peter loved many things including fishing, tennis, reading, movies and many forms of music. He was a natural athlete who loved sports for the sheer joy of competition. He loved dogs and rescued many from difficult circumstances. He was a talented artist/photographer and leaves behind a number of beautiful works. He was a tremendous uncle, a loving brother and son, and a loyal friend with a ready smile, an easy laugh and a generous spirit. He was sweet and tender and incomparably gentle with children.

Peter always held onto his aspirations and dreamed of seeing them come to fruition.

He is survived by his parents Peter and Maureen, his sisters Victoria and Sarah, his brother Matthew, nephews Alexander and Rainer, and nieces Pascale and Nora. He also leaves behind his beloved puppies, Sky and Moon.

Services were held Saturday, April 18, at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. Online condolences may be made at www.stuartfortunekeoughfuneralhome.com.
