Robert ‘Bobby’ Timmons

Robert “Bobby” Timmons, 87, of Tupper Lake passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, at Mercy Living Center where he had recently resided.

Born Aug. 7, 1927, in Tupper Lake, he was the son of James Edward and Rene (Coutu) Timmons. Bobby graduated from Tupper Lake High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was employed by the Altamont Milk Company for many years. In 1967 he went on to work at Sunmount DDSO, retiring in 1983 after 19 years of service. Bobby enjoyed playing golf with his many friends, in particular Bucky Kentile and his late cousin Daniel Savage.

Bobby led a quiet, peaceful life and had a tremendous amount of faith. He enjoyed family gatherings and loved watching golf and baseball on TV as it became more difficult for him to get out and attend such events.

Bobby leaves behind many cousins including Gerald Savage, James Savage, Richard Wilson, Monzie Hutchins and Phylis Spies.

Calling hours are scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6 at St. Alphonsus Church in Tupper Lake. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friends and family are invited to attend a reception at the VFW club on Park Street in Tupper Lake following the funeral Mass.
