Blinda R. Lopez

Born in Saranac Lake, New York on March 24, 1959, she was the daughter of George and June Faith (Begor) Gillette.

Blinda was a lifelong resident of the Saranac Lake area and had worked at various area businesses until she was unable due to health reasons. She was an avid fisherman and loving mother. She especially loved her dog Mocha.

She is survived by her husband, Tony Lopez; four children: Victoria, Tony, Amanda and Samantha Lopez, all of Virginia; two brothers: John Gillette and his wife Linda of Lake Clear and Marvin Myer and his wife Donna of Massachusetts; three sisters: Nora Donaldson and her husband Craig of Lake Clear, Joanie Corliss of Saranac Lake and Pauline Kautz of Saranac Lake; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and four aunts: Elaine Begor of Vermontville, Marsha Begor of Vermontville, Doris Stickney of Franklin Falls and Cynthia Oliver of Gabriels.

She was preceded in death by her father and her mother.

Calling hours will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 16 at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A funeral service will immediately follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
