Greg Amell

Greg Amell, 51, died unexpectedly, Friday, Nov. 30, 2013 in Albany.

Born, May 9, 1962 in Tupper Lake, he was the son of Ray and Shirley (Duffy) Amell. Greg was raised in Tupper Lake and was a graduate of Tupper Lake High School.

For the past several years had been employed at various restaurants in the Albany area. Greg was an avid New York Yankee and Giants fan.

He is survived by his companion D’arcie Deneger; a daughter Taylor; two sons: Trevor and Tanner; one step-son Tyler, all of Albany; his mother Shirley Dechene and step-father Donald; five sisters: Caren Cote and her husband Norman, Donna Thomas, Darlene Strack and husband Brent and Alene Amell, all of Tupper Lake, Holly Campbell and husband Scott of Suwanee, Ga.,; three brothers: Stewart and his wife Laurie of Lacona, Mark and his wife Tracey of Tupper Lake and Bryan and his wife Sue of Saranac Lake; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by his father Ray.

Calling hours are scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4 at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5 at St. Alphonus church.
